Which VPAT 2.5 edition do you need?
VPAT 2.5 ships in editions keyed to the standard a buyer cites. VPAT Studio covers the two most requested in North America.
WCAG 2.1 Report
The core ACR most procurement teams expect: all 30 Level A and 20 Level AA success criteria, by their official W3C names. Right for SaaS, websites and web apps.
Revised Section 508 Report
Required for U.S. federal procurement. Adds the functional performance criteria (302), hardware (402), software (502/503) and support documentation (602/603) chapters on top of WCAG.
The output is an ACR
A completed VPAT is an Accessibility Conformance Report. VPAT Studio fills in the report body for you and exports it ready to attach to an RFP response or a compliance request.
Your conformance findings never leave your machine
Accessibility findings describe exactly where a product falls short. VPAT Studio assembles the report in your browser: the wizard, the PDF engine and the DOCX engine all run as client-side code. Load the page, disconnect from the internet, and you can still build and export the whole report.
Zero upload, by design
No server receives your findings. Report assembly and file generation are client-side code.
Correct ACR structure
Criteria tables grouped by chapter, official ids and names, with the standard front matter block.
PDF and editable Word
Export a print-ready PDF and a .docx you can fine-tune before sending it to a customer or agency.
Multi-edition
Switch between the WCAG 2.1 and Section 508 editions; the criteria tables update to match.

Answers before you build
What exactly does VPAT Studio produce?
A completed Accessibility Conformance Report (ACR) based on the ITI VPAT 2.5 template: the standard front matter (product, version, date, contact, evaluation methods, applicable standards) followed by the conformance tables grouped by chapter. Each row has the official criterion id and name, your conformance level, and your remarks. Export as PDF for sending, or DOCX to edit.
Are the criteria the real, official ones?
Yes. The WCAG rows use the official W3C success-criterion ids and names — all 30 Level A and 20 Level AA criteria from WCAG 2.1. The Section 508 edition adds the functional performance (302), hardware (402), software (502/503) and support documentation (602/603) rows from the Revised 508 standards.
Do my findings get uploaded?
No. The wizard, the PDF generator (pdf-lib) and the Word generator (docx) all run in your browser. You can load the page, go offline, and still build and export the report. Nothing about your product's conformance is sent anywhere.
What's the difference between free and paid?
The free version lets you fill in everything and export a WCAG Level A sample marked DRAFT, so you can see the exact output. The $59 one-time purchase unlocks the complete WCAG 2.1 A & AA report, the full Section 508 chapters, and clean PDF/DOCX with no watermark — for 1,000 exports.
Is a VPAT the same as an ACR?
VPAT 2.5 is the blank template; an ACR is the report you get once it's filled in. People use the terms interchangeably, and a buyer asking for "your VPAT" wants the completed ACR. That's what this tool outputs.
Is this legal or certification advice?
No. A VPAT/ACR is a vendor self-assessment, not a third-party certification, and VPAT Studio is software, not a consultancy. The tool structures and formats your own findings; the accuracy of those findings is your responsibility.
